Levenmouth Academy: Bats Wood Growing Space
Bat's Wood is a local charity aiming to transform the left-over playing field behind Levenmouth Academy into a biodiverse woodland with an orchard and permaculture vegetables for the community and school to use. The charity also hopes to build and maintain a bike track for the community. A volunteer-led charity, Bat's Wood will add a community dimension to the National 4 Rural Skills programme, championing environmental education. The improved land-use hopes to instil the children with the confidence to take on practical climate action and biodiversity enhancement in future.
